This prototype is a stealth-based, sci-fi prototype set in a high-security futuristic facility. Players must navigate restricted areas undetected, evading robotic sentries and unlocking access points using stolen keycards. With a focus on tension and atmosphere, the game emphasizes sneaky movement, strategic timing, and immersive sound design that reacts to player actions.
Project Overview
The audio style of this stealth prototype leans into a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired aesthetic, supporting both the quiet intensity of sneaking and the high-stakes tension of being discovered. My goal was to create an immersive soundscape that enhances the contrast between calm and alert gameplay states. The sound design and music work together to build suspense, while giving audio cues that guide the player's understanding of their surroundings and status.
The project includes a set of handcrafted sound effects such as a pulsing laser beam hum, droid blaster fire, access denied voice lines, keycard pickups, and mechanical lift operations. Music was composed for two key gameplay states: a calm, ambient underscore for stealth navigation, and a more urgent, rhythm-driven track that activates when the player is detected. The soundtrack features synth-heavy textures, rhythmic pulses, and dark tonalities that align with the game’s sleek, high-tech setting.
All audio assets were created using Pro Tools and implemented directly into Unity. By working with an existing prototype, I was able to tightly match the audio to specific visual and gameplay moments, delivering a cohesive and reactive sound experience.

This project was a great opportunity to deepen my skills in both sound design and adaptive music implementation. While my main role focused on audio creation, working with an existing stealth prototype allowed me to explore how gameplay mechanics and audio interact in a more reactive way. Designing for a dual-state music system pushed me to think about pacing, transitions, and emotional impact through sound.
Crafting each sound effect to fit the game's world—from droid blasters to ambient lift drones—was a satisfying creative challenge that let me lean into a specific aesthetic. Implementing everything within Unity helped me better visualize the game’s structure and fine-tune my audio assets accordingly. Overall, this was a rewarding project that helped strengthen my instincts for game audio and integration.
